Geplante Themen für Wintersemester 2016

Folgende neue Themen sind für zukünftige Workshops oder Vorträge interessant sein. Teilweise haben sich schon Freiwillige gefunden, die ein Thema vorstellen möchten.

• Blender: Freie 3D-Modellierungs- und Animations-Software mit großem Funktionsumfang (Modelling, Rigging, Animation, Simulation, Rendering, Compositing, Motion Tracking, Video Editing, Game Creation).
• Processing(.js): “Learn how to code in the context of visual art”. Mit processing können ansprechende und dynamische Datenvisualisierung implementiert werden.
• Kibana (für Sommersemester): Echtzeit-Datenvisualisierung und -analyse. Wird normalerweise in Kombination mit Elasticsearch eingesetzt.
• TensorFlow: Open-Source Software Bibliothek für Künstliche Intelligenz und Machine Learning.
• Programmierprachen:
  • GoLang: Die „Go“ Programmiersprache aus dem Hause Google.
  • Rust: Effiziente Systemprogrammiersprache inklusive Thread-Safety und ohne Segfaults.
  • Dart: Leicht zu erlernende Anwendungsprogrammiersprache, die gut skaliert und fast überall eingesetzt werden kann.
  • etc.
• LLVM: Das LLVM-Projekt ist eine Sammlung von modularen und wiederverwendbaren Compiler- und Build-Toolchain-Technologien.
• nftables: Paketfilter-Framework, das langfristig bestehende Frameworks (ip(6)tables, arptables, …) ersetzen soll. Es baut auf der Netfilter-Infrastruktur auf.

I studied Software Engineering in Hagenberg. My master thesis dealt with cross-platform portability of .NET applications under Mono on Linux, specifically with the HeuristicLab optimization framework. I handle most of the boring stuff at fhLUG, such as organizing events and taking care of the website. Talks I have given have covered several diverse topics, including typesetting with LaTeX, version control with Git, the Neo keyboard layout, the Vim text editor, regular expressions, and shell scripting.
